We are so excited to announce that our non profit agency recently was awarded a $50,000 grant from the Greater Milwaukee Foundation’s Capital 2024 Fund. The generous grant will be used to support facility upgrades.
According to Beverly Anderson, our executive director, “We are grateful that the foundation believes that high quality early childhood care and education is the key to giving every child the start in life they need and deserve.”
The grant money will be used to purchase a new convection oven our Ebenezer’s Downtown Milwaukee location. The new oven will allow the agency to prepare meals more efficiently, ensuring that food is cooked evenly, retains it nutritional value, and is served at optimal temperatures. We will also be able to purchase new flooring for our Oak Creek location with the grant money. The current flooring is over 20 years old. This project will include replacing the linoleum and carpet with natural flooring materials to provide a non-toxic, hypoallergenic surface that is both durable and soft underfoot, reducing the risk of injuries while promoting a healthier indoor environment.

Racial equity is the Foundation’s North Star, guiding its investments and strategies for social and economic change. Leveraging generations of community knowledge, cross-sector partnerships and more than $1 billion in financial assets, the Foundation is committed to reimagining philanthropy, catalyzing systems change, convening and following community voice, and building inclusive culture to transform our region into a Milwaukee for all.
