Attendees will learn how adult trauma and complex emotions can impact interactions with children. We’ll do a refresher on the impact of trauma in the body and briefly discuss how patterns of trauma and trauma response can be passed down between generations. We’ll then explore how adults and children co-regulate with one another and I will introduce the concepts of mirror neurons and polyvagel theory. We’ll end with some actual strategies and tips to take with them.
